BIS 2001 - 2010

The First BIS event took place at London's Barbican Center in 2001.

The British Inventors Society (BIS) was formed in December 2003. The team that came together includes leading inventors and innovators, academics and entrepreneurs who share a common belief – that invention is the vital spark that drives the world’s technology and new orders of wealth creation.

The BIS Society is responsible for organising the annual international competition, the British Invention of the Year and the World Invention awards.

              Forthcoming Innovation Exhibitions

During 2009 BIS attended a number of UK & international innovation exhibitions. You are invited to join the BIS delegations in 2010. In 2009 BIS visited Russia, Malaysia, Romania, Spain and Wales.

Now on the UK agenda and looming up is the 10th BIS 13-14-15-16 October 2010
